Learning Grammar Through Writing: A Complete Grammar Resource is available once again.
"Learning Grammar Through Writing is a correcting tool to be used by students in concert with their teacher.
It is a unique reference book which allows students to reinforce the fundamentals of effective English grammar by appraising and correcting their own work. It is designed for learners in grades two through eight.
Students write a composition and then correct only the errors which the teacher indicates. In this way mistakes are corrected, but grammatical skills which students already understand are not labored in a lesson or written exercise. The teacher, as facilitator, can thereby ensure a high rate of success.
In writing, as in all other endeavors, one success leads to another, thereby breeding self-confidence and improvement."
From the Teacher's Introduction:

English grammar should be taught in response to the need to use it effectively. It cannot be taught as a separate entity without continuous application.
THE BEST MEDIUM AVAILABLE FOR TEACHING GRAMMAR IS THE STUDENT'S OWN WRITING. The central idea of Learning Grammar Through Writing is to teach grammar to students by having them write compositions regularly and then correct their own work, at a level which they can reasonably be expected to achieve."
