We are all pregnant here at Cascia Books!

With pregnancy comes numerous challenges, not the least of which is keeping track of everything expectant mamas need to keep track of! So a pregnancy journal was the answer.  I had no luck finding what I wanted so turned to making my own.

 I wanted a place where I could see at a glance how far along I was, where I could record my meals, dr. appointments, water intake, supplements, exercise, and of course, my weight.  There are also pages for baby name planning and extra notes.

Feel free to download the journal for your own personal use by clicking here, on the picture above, or on the Pregnancy Journal page.

Thanks for visiting!

A Christmas Song
by Phillips Brooks

Everywhere, everywhere, Christmas to-night!
Christmas in lands of fir tree and pine;
Christmas in lands of palm tree and vine;
Christmas where snow peaks stand solemn and white;
Christmas where cornfields lie sunny and bright:
Everywhere, everywhere, Christmas to-night!

Christmas where children are hopeful and gay;
Christmas where old men are patient and gray;
Christmas where peace, like a dove in its flight,
Broods o’er brave men in the thick of the fight:
Everywhere, everywhere, Christmas to-night!

Then let every heart keep its Christmas within,
Christ’s pity for sorrow, Christ’s hatred for sin,
Christ’s care for the weakest, Christ’s courage for right,
Christ’s dread of the darkness, Christ’s love of the light,
Everywhere, everywhere, Christmas to-night!

For the Christ Child Who comes is the Master of all;
No palace too great and no cottage too small.

Christmas Night

At last Thou art come, little Savior!
   And Thine angels fill midnight with song;
Thou art come to us, gentle Creator!
   Whom Thy creatures have sighed for so long.

Thou art come to Thy beautiful Mother;
   She hath looked on Thy marvelous Face;
Thou art come to us, Maker of Mary!
   And she was Thy channel of grace.

Thou hast brought with Thee plentiful pardon,
   And our souls overflow with delight;
Our hearts are half broken, dear Jesus,
   With the joy of this wonderful night!

We have waited so long for Thee, Savior!
   Thou art come to us, dearest, at last!
Oh bless Thee, dear Joy of Thy Mother,
    This is worth all the wearisome past!

Thou art come, Thou art come, Child of Mary!
   Yet we hardly believe Thou art come;
It seems such a wonder to have Thee,

   New Brother! with us in our home.
Thou wilt stay with us, Master and Maker!
   Thou wilt stay with us now evermore:
We will play with Thee, beautiful Brother!
   On Eternity’s jubilant shore.

Sacred Infant, all divine,
What a tender love was thine;
Thus to come from highest bliss
Down to such a world as this.

Gospel of the Second Mass on Christmas

At that time-- the shepherds said to one another:  Let us go over to Bethlehem, and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has showed us.
And they came in haste; and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger.  And when they had seen it, they understood the thing which had been spoken to them concerning this Child.  And all who heard wondered at the things which were told them by the shepherds.  But Mary kept all these words, pondering in her heart.  And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen as it was told to them.
Luke:2  15-20

O Mary,
Keep not Jesus for thee alone!
For one instant, for one short instant, trust him to my love.  Say not that any tender age could not retain thy treasure...The vehemence of my desire will make up for my weakness.
O Mary!
Deposit Jesus for
one moment in my arms!  Give him to me, tender Mother, I will not rob thee of Him!  I will dwell under thine eyes, in the manger, prostrate near thee.  With my heart beating against His, I will respectfully approach my lips to His adorable face, and soon return him to thee.

"If we wish to see any improvement in the state community or the family, the family must, in common with the Church, educate the children in Christianity. It is true that the hope of a better future is founded on a good, obedient youth." ~ St. John Vianney
